What PEO Conferences Should You Attend This Year?

If you work with – or are thinking of working with – a professional employer organization (PEO), then you need to get to know NAPEO: the National Association of PEOs. Consider this menu of 2019 NAPEO offerings as you plan for year ahead.

NAPEO Annual Conference

The NAPEO Annual Conference and Marketplace takes place September 10 through 18 in Austin, TX. It’s NAPEO’s flagship event and the largest PEO educational and networking forum of the year. This site will be updated as plans for the conference are finalized.

PEO Primer

If you’re new to the PEO industry, this is for you. It’s an add-on event to NAPEO seminars and conferences throughout the year. PEO Primer covers the essentials of the PEO-client arrangement.

  • Attendees gain an understanding of sales and marketing issues, industry trends and HR outsourcing topics. PEO Primer can also be a good refresher course if you’re already experienced in partnering with a PEO but are looking for updated knowledge and insight.

PEO Capitol Summit

Gather in the nation’s capital with PEO owners, legal advisors and HR professionals for valuable policy discussions, legal analyses and lobbying opportunities. The Capitol Summit is valuable for legal advisors and compliance managers, as well as HR pros.

Risk Management Workshop

NAPEO’s Risk Management Workshop is the largest gathering of PEO risk management professionals, carriers, brokers and agents. It will feature hands-on breakout sessions that allow you to focus on specific topics, and take home important tips from industry leaders. And, it’s in Nashville. So enjoy the sights and sounds of Music City while you’re there!

CFO Seminar

For timely and informative programming for financial professionals, you may want to plan a trip to Chicago in July for NAPEO’s CFO Seminar.

  • Among the highlights is the 2019 PEO Technology Showcase, a half-day event where you can learn about tech developments and trends from the industry’s leading experts. The showcase is followed by a reception where you can network and get any of your follow-up questions answered.

Leadership Councils

Throughout the year, NAPEO’s Leadership Councils host forums: local meetings that offer an opportunity to discuss topics that affect your business, exchange with area government representatives, and access the latest information on IRS certification for PEOs. This link includes dates and locations; keep checking back for updates.

CEO Forum

NAPEO’s annual CEO Forum combines practical executive education with PEO related content and peer networking. You can choose from a menu of attending one, two or all of the forum events.

  • The education component of the CEO Forum offers the opportunity to learn from three Stanford University professors. Plus, there are three dates and locations including Palo Alto, CA, Washington, DC, and Austin, TX.

Last But Not Least: Webinars

NAPEO offers SPHR/PHR and SHRM credits for all its webinars, unless otherwise noted.
